The Wood Badge

The Wood Badge is a common standard that identifies the levels of training and development required by Scout Leaders to perform certain roles. In 2019, we celebrated 100 years of the Wood Badge. This milestone marks the centenary since the first Wood Badge training course in 1919! Since then, Wood Badge training has played a pivotal role in shaping the adults of our Movement, and is a symbol of the extraordinary dedication and leadership that adult volunteers contribute to Scouting around the world.
